Yoga Positions for Beginners…

Yoga is an expansive field, and it is becoming more and more popular in America.

The term ‘Yoga’ sometimes includes chanting practices, meditation practices, breathing practices, as well as all the interesting ‘asanas’ (poses, postures, or positions).

So where do we start?

I have spoken at length about breathing and meditation exercises in other posts, but here we will cover some beginning Yoga positions/stretches.

To start, I would like to give you something very practical:  Yoga you can do in a sitting position…

You can perform Seated Yoga virtually anywhere… you don’t need a mat, you don’t need 30 minutes, you don’t even need to get out of your chair!

All you need is a minute or two so you can step into relaxation and relieve that built up stress!

Play with these stretches, and post a comment to let me know what you think!

keep smiling,

ben
