The Strangest Secret… The Most Powerful Focus Meditation

“Success is the progressive realization of a worthy ideal.” -Earl Nightingale

This video (and the other works of Earl Nightingale) has been the inspiration for more geniuses and millionaires than I can count.

For now, just watch the first two minutes.  What we’ll cover today is at a minute and 48 seconds into the recording.

This video is full of gems… but today we’ll just focus on one.

The formula looks something like this:

Success = Progressive Realization of a Worthy Ideal.

Let’s break that down a little further:

A Worthy Ideal = What you truly, sincerely want to do that will benefit you and everyone concerned.

The best tests for ‘worthiness’ that I’ve found are how it feels to you and how much it will benefit everyone involved (including you and at least one other person)

Progressive Realization = Continuously returning your focus (both mental and physical) to your Worthy Ideal and allowing it to evolve as you learn and grow.

This is where you develop and demonstrate the willingness to keep coming back, even when there are challenges and distractions… and allow your vision… your worthy ideal… to change as you change in its pursuit.

Oh, and by the way… thanks for reading… it’s been over 6 months since I last posted… it feels good to be back, and it’s great to have you back.

Incidentally, it took some real focus and willingness to get back in here, update everything, and get back to writing again.

See… I do follow my own advice… at least occasionally.  😉

Continuing to return your focus is the heart of meditation.  The willingness to return your focus again and again no matter how often or how long it drifts is challenging… and highly rewarding.  Doing this in the formal practice of meditation can be difficult… do it out in ‘the real world’ can be even harder.  This makes it the most powerful focus meditation… at least the most powerful that I have found.

All you need to practice is a goal that’s worth it.

So what’s your worthy ideal?

What’s your vision?

keep smiling,
