Much of the psychology of the 20th (and now 21st) century has been concerned with dealing with and/or understanding the unconscious pain that comes from events in our past that we haven’t dealt with, yet.
But so far… the results have been pretty hit and miss.
There are some powerful methods out there, though.
Meditation is the classic method that has been with us since the dawn of mankind…
It works, but it takes time.
Fortunately, there are some other methods that can vastly speed the results!
EFT and other energy methods are a powerful method to quickly handle specific issues… but it also helps us in the long term goal of letting go of all pain of the past…
Letting go of all suffering…
Integrating ourselves back into energy oneness…
I don’t think this can happen completely without developing a lot of focusing and spending some time directing this focus into our own internal processes… and allowing the associated insights to arise.
But meditation tends to be a long path… to make the path easier and faster… and to give some very nice immediate results… I encourage you to integrate some methods of energy work into your practice.
My favorite is EFT.
I’ve worked with a lot of different methods.
EFT has yielded the fastest, most easy to detect results.
When things come up, you breathe deeply, you tap, you relax into them… and pretty quickly they stop coming up… you can still remember the event, but you have now freed up the emotional energy that used to be bound up in and around it.
The more you do this, the more easy it becomes. Once you start to free up your energy, the insights come much more quickly in your meditations as well.
Simple EFT
This is a very easy method that you can just use as you go about your life.
Sometimes things will come up and you won’t have time to tap or meditate right away… if at all possible
Write them down to work on them later!
It might not be quite as powerful as working on them immediately when they come up, but it is much better than just pushing them back, again.
Breathe deeply, Tap, Relax and Accept what comes up.
Then move on…
keep smiling,
Ben
