We are definitely pushed that way by society and advertisers... 

But the people with more &#039;stuff&#039; don&#039;t seem to be any happier.

It seems to me that real happiness... or satisfaction... comes as a result of of deep acceptance... of internal &#039;non-interference&#039;...

When I step into that place, I can still act effectively, but I&#039;m no longer terribly concerned about the minutia of daily life.
