“There are two ways to live: you can live as if nothing is a miracle; you can live as if everything is a miracle.”
-Albert Einstein
If you haven’t already read it, go back and take a look: A Course in Miracles: Day 1
As you go through these exercises, you will gradually find more light, more clarity, and more beauty in your life… you will notice more and more ‘miracles’ around you!

Are you ready for the next game?
A Course in Miracles: Day 2
The exercise for Day 2 is:
I have given everything I see in this room all the meaning that it has for me.
Just like before, you will want to look around slowly, and apply this concept/affirmation to whatever you see:
Start with the things close to you, then begin to look farther than the immediate area, and apply the idea to more and more things.
Turn your head to take in more ‘things’. You can even do the exercise in a different area or room.
Again, the goal is to apply the exercise to anything you see.
My Experience:
At this point, it wasn’t terribly difficult for me to accept that I am giving all the meaning to the objects around me (although some objects/thoughts/meanings are still very difficult to accept).
When I first considered it, though, it seemed ridiculous.
“There’s a real world out there… I didn’t just make it up.”
There may be a ‘real world’, but I recognize more and more that meaning is a human construct. What we make of that ‘real world’ (the meaning) is something that we apply individually.
We may take comfort in the fact that others seem to agree with us, but ultimately, their experience is their own… even if our descriptions sound similar.
There are likely hundreds of thousands of cars out there that could be described as ‘a green sedan’… but that hardly means they are all the same thing (but in essence, perhaps they are).
To make it a little bit easier…
As you learn to watch your internal response, more and more, you will notice that it has many faces.
Words, images, sensations, or even smells and tastes might arise.
Acceptance is key as you continue the exercise…
Taking a few deep breaths (or any of the other Ten Techniques for Fast Relaxation) can help you to quickly come to a place of acceptance.
As you practice, you will notice more and more connection between acceptance and relaxation.
Remember to say “Thank You” and hold EFT points to assist you in playing the game.
Also, say “Thank You” and hold/tap EFT points to enjoy the miraculous in your life at a deeper level…
I’ll see you here tomorrow for Day 3!
keep smiling,
Ben

“The real world out there”: It is important to note that even “out there” (i.e., as if my mental experiences are being caused by something external to mind) is a meaning that I give to experience.

Thanks for the comment, William…
And I agree completely.
I don’t really believe in a ‘world out there’… or even ‘a world in here’ for that matter.
Language in and of itself is dualistic… and tends to distract us from Energy Oneness…
But some might be just as misled from the term ‘Energy Oneness’…
My hope is that, for the most part, I use language in such a way that helps people step beyond the illusions… even if just for a moment.
As I return to this process again and again… I tend to get better and better!
Let’s hope it stays that way…

Ben
